A vibrant, refreshing platter featuring juicy watermelon slices artfully paired with savory and sweet accompaniments, perfect for summer gatherings or as an elegant appetizer.

This is one of my favorite easy dishes to assemble when hosting guests on a warm day.

Ingredients

  • Fruit: 1 large seedless watermelon, cut into 1-inch wedges or rounds, 1 cup fresh strawberries halved, 1 cup seedless grapes halved, 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • Cheeses & Proteins: 100 g (3.5 oz) feta cheese crumbled, 100 g (3.5 oz) prosciutto or serrano ham thinly sliced (optional omit for vegetarian), 100 g (3.5 oz) fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini) halved
  • Nuts & Seeds: 1/3 cup roasted pistachios roughly chopped, 1/3 cup toasted pumpkin seeds
  • Garnishes: Fresh mint leaves, Zest of 1 lime, 2 tbsp honey (optional or agave syrup for vegan), Flaky sea salt to taste, Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1:
Arrange the watermelon slices on a large serving platter in an overlapping circular or fan pattern.
Step 2:
Scatter strawberries, grapes, and blueberries evenly over and around the watermelon slices.
Step 3:
Dot the platter with crumbled feta and mozzarella balls. Drape prosciutto or serrano ham slices artfully around the fruit (if using).
Step 4:
Sprinkle chopped pistachios and pumpkin seeds over the top for crunch.
Step 5:
Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lime zest.
Step 6:
Drizzle honey or agave syrup lightly over the platter if desired. Finish with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt and black pepper.
Step 7:
Serve immediately ensuring all components are well chilled.
